| The toxicology component of this module deals with the ain goals of ecotoxicology, major classes of toxic substances, toxicity testing, the concept of uptake and bioaccumulation, effects of toxicants at various levels of organisation in the environment, marine ecotoxicology, environmental risk assesment, and disaster response. The environmental monitoring component focuses on types, purposes and essentials of monitoring programs, strategies for air, water, soil and vegetation monitoring, use of environmental standards and indicators, monitoring environmental progress, case studies. |
