Description
In this module, the focus is deeply cultural and theoretical. For a better understanding, selected texts will be studied. The first part will focus on the most significant literary movements that dominated the initial decades of the twentieth century: Modernism. Aspects that will be considered are: Artistic Experimentation, The Modernist Void, Metropolitan Culture, etc. Authors such as T.S. Eliot, Virginia Woolf, etc will be studied in this connection. The second part will focus on the literary phenomenon that has dominated the scene from the 1940`s to the present: Postmodernism. This marks the theoretical part of the module where key postmodern thinkers like Baudrillard, Lyotard, Deleuze and Guattari will be considered. Authors such as A.S.
