Description
The aim of this module is to introduce students to the different types of political systems and the nature of political interactions in sub-saharan Africa. The module will give a brief historical background of colonial and pre-colonial history of the region. It will focus on how colonial history has shaped the political landscape of sub-saharan Africa. Mainly, the module will look at obstacles to democratisation, human rights, economic development and conflicts within that region.
