Mediation and Social work; the goals and the process of mediation. Ethical considerations. Advocacy - definition, goals and targets; knowledge base; assessment; advocacy strategies and tactics. Legislative advocacy. Aims and objectives of social work within correctional services for adults, children and juveniles. Social Work in the Court setting; Role and functions within closed institutions and deinstitutionalised services. Concept of Probation; aims and process; process of aftercare, rehabilitation and reintegration.
