| This module introduces the student to the field of clinical psychology and health psychology. It will look at historical and current paradigms in psychopathology and therapy, classification, diagnosis and assessment. Psychological disorders will be considered in terms of their characteristics, prevalence, aetiology and therapy. Discussion of the concept of health and illness. Defining health, stress and coping, risky and addictive behaviours and health-related behaviour and health promotion. |
