| This modules completes the module BIOL2005Y(3). It deals with different aspects of plant growth and development and the understanding of the mechanisms that operate in the animal kingdom at a higher level. Topics on the plant section include phytohormones and growth regulators, tropism, photoperiodism, nastic movements, photomorphogenesis and seed dormancy and germination. The part on animal physiology focuses on life cycle, control and regulatory systems. Reproduction and development, the nervous system, the endocrine and musculoskeletal systems are discussed in depth. |
