Description
This module will focus on the consolidation of the settler states in South Africa, Rhodesia (Zimbabwe) and Namibia, the evolution of ideologies of white rule and the rise of African Nationalism in Zimbabwe. The main topics will be the Boer War, Afrikaner nationalism in South Africa, segregationist discourse, African nationalism and guerrilla warfare in Southern Africa.
