This module is especially designed for those with no previous background in history. It will introduce
students to the work of historians, the different approaches and methods used by historians to
reconstruct the past. It will also provide basic training in reading primary sources as well as writing
different historical prices. Practical training in writing skills will be taught with the assistance of
English Language specialists. Basic textbook used will be W. Storey, Writing History.
