Visitor management techniques
This module will give an overview of cultural tourism and focus on the techniques of visitor
management to develop skills required for visitor welcome, for the preparation and the presentation of
material for visitors. It will include methods of interpretation in heritage required to produce
commentaries or cultural activities and the techniques of presentation to convey a clear message to
visitors. A compulsory practical assessment will consist of an internship in a heritage site. This
module will consist of theoretical and practical aspects of heritage guiding, understanding of visitor
welcome and include a compulsory internship on one heritage site.
