This module is essentially an initiation to interdisciplinary history. It will consist of an introductory
session on methods of interdisciplinary research and main sources of information for local history
studies and how to use the facilities available nationally, such as the Mauritius Archives, Museums,
National Library etc. They will also learn to combine data obtained from various sources such as
statistics, sociology, botany, anthropology etc. Students will study independently on one project or as
part of a group to be decided by the instructor. |
