minimum three hour duration led by the student and supervisor on a topic under research or related to the
research by the student. Scholars and researchers outside the Department with an academic interest will be
invited to participate. The student will make a presentation of his/her proposed research topic for dissertation
and provide compete justification, literature review and be open to scrutiny by participants. The aim is to
critically assess the research topic and solicit views and thoughts which may contribute to enhancing the
research methodology, approaches ad analytical perspectives of the student. A minimum of 12 research
seminars will be planned in a twelve month period.
