This course aims to introduce students to essential notions in cultural studies, such as social texts, popular culture, modes of reading oral, visual and written texts through the complexity of social politics. The course will be based on case-studies and class discussions through which students will have to confront the reality of the local environment. All of this will be translated into the written component of the course which will also cover the whole academic year
