The aim of this module is to expose the learner to an overview of literature of the postcolonial world. This module will seek to understand the correlation between the different literary traditions to have developed during the period. This module investigates the impact of colonialism on the emergence of postcolonial literature in Africa, India and the Caribbean, Canada and Australia. Through the study of texts from these diverse countries this module introduces students to key themes in postcolonial literature at the 'contact zones'.
