| This module aims to explore how cultural texts create and sustain perspectives about sub-Saharan Africa. The foray may include constructions about Africa by Africans and non-Africans such as through colonisation and decolonisation, and Africa as a contemporary space, African philosophy, African cinema, African visual arts, as well as the cultural, economic and political constructions of Mauritius within the continent. |
