The aim is this module is to give students the possibility of exploring literary, filmic and cultural texts beyond those that they have access to within their national and linguistic boundaries. Students will therefore read texts in translation from different parts of the world, from cultural traditions and geographical spaces that are remote from theirs. This module will also examine reconfigurations of gender, racial, ethnic and sexual borders in literature and films from the world.
