Description
This module will enable students to develop a basic understanding of animation concepts and basic skills in drawing and animating using animation softwares (Open Source and/or industry standard software packages). Students will explore the creative possibilities of animating vector and bitmap graphics. They will learn the art of storyboarding to organize animated displays. The first part of the module will address some historical aspects of animation and the principles and techniques common to all animation. The second part will be more practical oriented where Students will be exposed to the concepts of movie clips, frames and keyframes, library symbols, timing, scene transitions, audio integration. Students will be required to complete tutorials and apply techniques learnt in animation projects. (Note: Examination may be lab-based)
