This course will provide an introduction to the strategic and operational disciplines required by
executives working in media organizations. Topics covered will include the economics of the media and
content industries, managerial challenges in multimedia environment and business planning. Emphasis
will be laid on the revenue and cost structures of the media industries as well as the economics of the

processes of production and distribution in the media. Students will also be encouraged to develop skills
in writing business plans, crafting business cases and developing creative strategies for the media.
