Description
Aquaculture systems (extensive/ intensive and recirculating and non-recirculating): husbandry (e.g. stocking density, nutrition, Culture technology of commercially important species: broodstock management, larval culturing techniques, feeding formulations including live feed production, grow-out technology, production cycles, management practices, post-harvest processing and marketing.Sustainable aquaculture: integration of biological, physical and chemical processes based on carrying capacity, input needs, environmental impacts, productivity, animal health (parasite and disease diagnosis and prevention treatments) and wellbeing. Assessment of environmental sustainability and suitability of various aquaculture units. Environmental Best Practices and International Code of Conduct for Sustainable Aquaculture.feeding strategies), genetic, farm design, effluents, water quality management.
