Description
This module provides students a general knowledge and awareness of Archaeology and the scientific methods used to analyze the past. The history of the discipline is outlined and students are introduced to lessons which will inculcate the fundamentals of techniques used in archaeology, namely Archaeometry, Measurements of Structures, Dating Techniques, X-Ray imaging, Taphonomy and Archaeozoology. Students will understand how the past tells the story of present human culture and development of civilization.
