Principles of managing animals in typical production systems for biological and economic sustainability: poultry, pigs; rabbits; goats and sheep; beef and dairy cows and novel species. Best management practices for consistent, efficient and profitable production to ensure food security and reduce greenhouse gas emissions: Nutrition, reproduction fertility, housing and equipment, animal waste and manure management technologies and production of methane gas. Specific requirements for the welfare of named ruminants and non-ruminants.
