| This module provides an overview of the different Approaches to Ethical Deliberation including
Reasoning, Development and Action, Moral Philosophy, Moral Psychology, Moral Actions and
Postmodern Ethics. The module will also focus on the Issues of Administrative Responsibility: The
Limits of Administrative Discretion, Avenues for Public Participation, Transparency in Government, The
Ethics of Privatisation. Ethical Problems for the Individual such as: Interacting with Elected Officials,
Following Orders, Conflict of Interest, Whistle – Blowing, Prohibitions on Political Activities will be
explored. Managing Ethics, Code of Ethics in the Public Service of Mauritius and Work Ethics will be studied too. |
