Focusing on the Sub-Saharan region from the beginning of the 18
th
century on, this module will focus on
issues pertaining to the social, economic and political dynamics of that part of the African continent.
Particular attention will be paid to the pre-colonial as well as the colonial periods of countries like Kenya,
Tanzania and Zambia.
