This module aims to develop an understanding of selected issues in the psychology of education: theories of learning; learners in their contexts: importance of social interaction, metacognition and motivation, individuality in learning: intelligence, learning styles and creativity; the child-school interface: teacher expectations, pupils friendships and sex differences in achievement; and children with behavioural problems and special needs.
