Researching, writing and reporting skills will be emphasised. Newsgathering and news writing for the
complex, specialised story will be practised. Students will also learn about the principles and practice of
broadcast media. The development of multi-media technologies and their impact on journalism will be
examined, from on-line versions of newspapers to personal weblogs.
