This module will explore the concept of ‘borders’ with respect to space, identity, genre and language
by considering how they are represented in literary works. It will also examine the proliferation of the
'trans' lexicon (as in transnational, transcultural, and transgender) which reflects the increasingly fluid
nature of contemporary experiences.
