The project provides an opportunity for the students to undertake and contribute to a piece of original research work in the field of climate change/food security. The students are required to design an investigation to test a hypothesis or proposition, to plan and execute the research work, to evaluate the outcomes and draw valid conclusions. Students are encouraged to work in close collaboration (participatory approach) with industry/institutions to conceptualize and contextualize the problem and validate the results obtained at the end of the research work. The research work is carried out individually, under guided supervision. The number of words for the final year project/dissertation shall be between 10,000-14,000.Students are required to submit an e-copy of their dissertation together with the Dissertation Declaration, Submission Forms, and the Turnitin Receipt for the Final Report to their Project Supervisor(s) through Google Classroom at latest by the date and time specified in the Calendar of Activities unless specified otherwise in the Programme of Study or by Senate. The Google class for the final dissertation submission will be created by the Project Supervisor. The e-copy of the dissertation (main body i.e. Introduction up to the Conclusion or last chapter) should be uploaded on the Turnitin Platform, as a single PDF file in the appropriate class/assignment (final dissertation) provided by the Project Supervisor. In case a student is allocated a Part-Time Supervisor, the class must be created by the Programme Coordinator. The Supervisor should certify that the work was undertaken by the student. |
