For these modules, it is intended that students either choose from a large list or suggest their own topic for in depth investigation. In doing so, they will have to define the aims and objectives, write a literature review and where appropriate perform experiments. Discussions and conclusions are important and the project should be adequately referenced. The project will ensure that students can extract information from primary source material including the Internet, will test their ability to select data and synthesize it into a coherent logical argument. Some of these will be capable of being used as reviews. It is planned that a request for project will be extended widely and could include primary health care physician in the private sector as well as in the Faculty of Science. It may be possible to use two separate projects.
