| The course provides a balance and integrated treatment of the domain of parasitology highlighting the molecular, cellular and immunological aspects of important parasites affecting man. Special focus will be on life cycle patterns, pathogenicity diagnosis, treatment and prophylaxis of medically important protozoans, platyhelminths, and nemathelminths. Some current laboratory investigations will be considered. Emphasis will be also laid on tropical parasites.
