| This course is specially tailored to fit in the local environment that prevails in Mauritius. Emphasis will be laid on various medically important organisms like bacteria, fungi and protozoans affecting man in the tropics. In-depth studies on their morphology, life cycle, aetiology, pathogenicity, treatment and prophylaxis along with related diseases will be dealt with. Communicable and non-communicable aspects will be explored. General surveys of prevalent cases relating to different socio-economic factors will be investigated. |
