| This module will introduce students to ancient and modern civilizations. The first semester will be devoted to the ancient civilizations. The second semester will focus on general themes in the development of European civilization from 1400-1800. The major topics will be the Renaissance, European expansion, the German Reformation, and the Counter-Reformation, Achievements of Henry VII, the Thirty Years War, The Reign of Louis XIV and the Enlightenment. |
