Students will be required to specialise in any one of the following three topics: (1) Chemical Pathology (Medical/Clinical Biochemistry), or (ii) Virology, or (iii) Bacteriology. After getting a clear understanding of the nature of hte problem to be investigated, the student will then be expected to survey and critically evaluate the research previously reported in published literature and present a seminar on the chosen topic. Students will be required to attend seminars presented by other students and contribute in the form of questions/discussion. Students will also be required to prepare an extended review/dissertation of approximately 2000 words including careful reference to current literature. Students will only be expected including careful reference to current literature. Students will only be expected to study topics, which fall within the expertise of academic staff of the Department or other staff teaching on the course.
